  1. NewtJared is a newton version of a macintosh program called Jared
  2. from FreeVerse Software. The macintosh version has been on the 
  3. top of many shareware lists.. If you like Jared for the macintosh
  4. you can now carry him with you on the Newton.

  11. You should note that this package is over 300k and has been tested
  12. on a Message Pad 120, and a MessagePad 2000 running NOS 2.0

  29. While Central America has seen more than its share of atrocities in recent
  30. years; never before has a lovely Guatemalan folk song been brutalized as
  31. thoroughly as by the vocal stylings of JARED, the Head of Security at
  32. FREEVERSE SOFTWARE.

  34. Like an angry Immigration officer, Jared's distinctive rendition grabs us,
  35. slaps us around, threatens to cavity search us and ultimately demands our
  36. passport be issued from that same circle of hell from which his voice
  37. originates.

  39. Never has the mating of cats sounded so melodic as after  one has listened
  40. to "El Carnicero de Canciones."  the "Butcher of Songs,"  as Jared was
  41. known in Guatemala. Yet, this is perhaps the worst part, one is somehow
  42. drawn to his song, playing it over and over again.   So listen to,
  43. "Shayla-uuugh", and suffer -- for this is art.
